My son and I camp with this tent frequently and we like it very much. The floor size is very good and the large vestibules are an excellent feature. It is also very well ventilated with the fly up.

There are a few niggling things that I do not like about this tent. The gear loft or gear attic is not usable as-is. Because it hangs directly in the center of the tent, headroom is reduced by 6 to 8 inches. The attachment loops for the loft should be moved to the foot end of the tent, where it would be accessible but not intrude upon headroom.

The stays for the doors and fly openings are just plain goofy. Instead of a tapered plastic toggle, there's a section of cord with a cord-lock knotted onto the end. The cord-lock is very difficult to push through the opposite loop, to tie back the doors or the fly. They're doubly-hard to fumble with wearing gloves! After lengthy discussion with a floor salesman, our only guess is that the cord-locks are provided as "extra" gear replacements for some other Marmot gear. That's redundant - I don't need four extra cord-locks. At any rate, I replaced ours with toggles made from pieces of dowel rod.

The manufacturer needs to diagram out instructions for folding the fly. The plastic dowels that pop out the fly vents can tear through the fly when it is being folded and rolled up if they are not oriented correctly. Also, the fly needs to be folded such that the window stays flat and is not folded or creased back upon itself.

I like the storage pockets at the head of the tent, the appearance of the tent, and the layout. This tent shrugs off wind like nobody's business. There do not seem to be any stress points where the fabric is stretched especially tight, to cause premature wear.

This tent may be listed for backpacking, but at over five pounds, it's really not well-suited for that purpose unless you're breaking it up between two people. The fly is the heaviest single component.

Overall, quite content with the purchase. The details drag it down.

Product Description:
Large double vestibules, two doors, and tons of interior space make the Marmot Twilight 2-Person 3-Season Tent a top choice for rainy days in camp. The Twilight Tent easily holds your backpacks, shoes, and other gear under the 21.7sq feet of vestibule space, and the steep end walls allow campers to sit up for an intense card game. Marmot used a clip pole system on this double-wall tent to make setup fast and simple because seconds count when rain starts soaking your gear.
