(More customer reviews)I guess you really do get what you pay for.I bought this tent last year for around $45 to go camping for a week in the woods.The tent came with very cheap,flimsy shepherd crook stakes that aren't very effective,and the aluminum poles had a small plastic knob on the end to slip into a grommet on the tent.These knobs broke as soon as it was out of the box.I wound up just using two sticks,whittled down to fit the grommets.This would have been sufficient with better stakes.Also the tent was very cramped with just me and my pack.I suggest only using this as a solo tent.With decent tent stakes and better poles,it would be an affordable one man tent.

(More customer reviews)I lived in this tent for the better part of three unseasonably cold and wet summer weeks in Maine.I stayed dry (for the most part) in spite of heavy rains lasting up to eight hours and one severe thunderstorm that lit up the tent's walls like a strobe light.I'll take the blame for any problems: the door was on the (slightly) uphill side, so some water dripped in through the bottom of the door zipper, but only after hours of continuous rain. During the thunderstorm, maybe a dozen drops blew in, not enough to wet the bottom of a shot glass. It was fine in the wind, but I would say that this is a three season tent.

The bug netting is fine, and for the price of one night in a motel, the tent owes me nothing.I outfitted it with boxsprings and a matress from a twin bed and a sturdy table/bench, leaving me plenty of room to stand and change clothes.

I love this tent!

(More customer reviews)I purchased this tent for my BOB bag I keep in case of emergencies. I had the opportunity to test this in a test to see if I was missing anything in my bag, and it had just rained the whole day except for the night. In Florida it was a good thing to cool things down a bit, with a tarp, I stood dry and within the tent, and it kept all those bugs out of the tent at night so I can try to sleep. Had a tarp that I would normally use under the tent but instead put on top of the tent for add extra rain protection in case it down poured at night which never happened. The bottom of the floor of the tent was tarp like material so I felt a little safer from wetness. I was so wet, we could not get a fire to stay lit, since it rained all day and we arrived at night to setup the tents. No problem with the tents. They lasted all night with leaking or problems, even was a sinch to setup once you get the pegs pre-tied. Suggest if you purchase this tent for the same reason I did that you...
Purchase some yellow plastic tent pegs, a tarp, big enough to cover the tent, bungee cords to hold the tarp down (if used on top of tent), some soft floor for comfort in sleeping (sleeping bag would have worked here) all I took was blanket and a pillow of some sort (could use backpack) The size of the tent was ok for one person with room for your gear.. Perfect for what I need it for. I give this tent an 5 star.
