(More customer reviews)I love everything about this tent except the rainfly. It does not deflect rain. It collects it. My first tent collapsed under the weight of collected rain in the fly. The steel poles fractured & tore multiple holes through the tent sides. We did have flood conditions in that storm so I let it go to 'the not so normal heavy rains'. I really liked everything else about it so I ordered another one. It is very spacious, has sturdy fabric & can be set up by one person very easily. However, the new tent also endured a thunderstorm & continued to collect rain.The best thing to do in rain is unhook the fly from the fly poles & stake the fly directly to the ground. It has a straight line & works better. Now that I figured that out I love it, but, it was an expensive lesson.

Expect the Worst

* easy to assemble/dis-assemble - This tent is remarkably easy to assemble, it took a friend and myself about 15 minutes the first time. And I've had my share of tents that would refuae to stay up even after spending an hour on them. This is the most attractive feature of this tent for me.

* Quite sturdy and weather-proof too - The manufacturer has given nails which can be used to hold the tent down. I've run into rain twice with these tents, and not had a problem either time. There are mesh flaps on the side and at the top which let air in on a clear night, but they can be covered up to keep the rain out.

* It holds three adults and it has ample space for two.

I'd completely agree with one of the other reviewer's remarks about the tiny bag that the tent comes in. It took us more than 20 mins just to squeeze the tent back into that small bag. But you could instead easily use the carton the tent in for holding the tent.

I would certainly recommend this for campers.

(More customer reviews)Just got this tent from Target the other day... Set it up all alone in the back yard in about 10-15 minutes on a clear day. It rained out with wind on the weekend, and I even hosed it down with the garden hose for about 30 minutes just to make sure I wouldn't get stuck wet in a rainstorm; and this thing is pretty much waterproof... There wasn't a drop inside... I don't even need to seam seal it!

I'm 6'3" tall and need something a bit bigger than the usual tent... That and I like to have my queen air mattress and king size sleeping bag with me and it fits them all including my luggage... But I cannot see 4 adults staying in this thing... Maybe two adults and a kid if you keep everything else in the car and still want an air mattress.

I also like that the door is offset to the side a bit, makes it easier to get in and out than one in the middle. The vents in the rain-fly are also a great idea for the warmer climates, though I would not recommend this for overly cold weather, due to not being able to zip up the mesh windows all around under the rainfly, like many other tents.. It holds up wonderfully in wind as long as you use the guy lines, though is you are going to be in winds over 15mph, you really need a three pole or more tent.

I will be using this tent a lot on group trips and geology outings when I have limited space in a vehicle. Though I love my other Coleman tent, the 10x14 foot instant tent for more extended outings and forest stays and colder weather when I have my own car on the trip.

(More customer reviews)This tent was pretty easy to put up, even for a little first timer like myself ( I am under 5 feet and was able to do it by myself, although it recommends 2 people).Definately use 2 people if they are available, simply for holding the rods steady as the tent goes up.It drizzled a bit on the camping trip, and the tent held up well with no extra sealant, and was tall enough for me to stand in.The privacy curtain came in handy while dressing or napping, since I shared my tent with 1 other person most of the trip.The number of people that fits in the tent is misleading, the tent says it fits 4-5 people, when what it really fits is 3 twin size air mattresses side by side, with about 1 or 2 inches on either side.If there are just sleeping bags, no air mattresses, it could probably fit about 4 people.The tent comes down just as easily as it goes up and fits nicely into the provided bag.

Maybe not the tent's fault but slightly noisy in heavy rain... maybe best under a tarp to keep the noise away from you.

Good design... assembled it for first time on site at night with no problems... really easy.
Also recommended the additional Coleman pin kit.Slightly heavier duty.

(More customer reviews)My wife and I went camping to an isolated beach quite far inside Brazil, they were charging for a rented tent about US$ 100 a night, so I decided to bring my own tent there, and I bought this one only for it's price and low weight.

What a pleasant surprise it was, we setted it up in 10 minutes during the night (first time camping for us), it was spacious enough for the queen size inflatable bed and two suitcases, even with wind and two big thunderstorms with rains the tent never fainted, only about 10 drops of water fell from the seams, but that was all, we stayed in it 5 nights, of course a bigger tent would have been better, but for the price and the weight (I had to travel 4 countries by plane + 5 hours in bus) it definitely was the best deal.
